Overview of PET rod

PET material (chemical name polyethylene terephthalate) is semi-crystalline thermoplastic polyester based on polyethylene terephthalate manufactured from proprietary resin grades. With excellent dimensional stability, wear resistance, and low moisture absorption, it is well suited to a variety of applications, including the manufacture of precision mechanical parts for equipment industries. We extrude PET material further processing in the form of PET rod and PET sheet. PET rods are manufactured and supplied worldwide.

Typical Properties of PET rod

Ø  Good for both wet and dry environments

Ø  High strength and rigidity - ideal for close tolerance parts

Ø  Excellent stain resistance

Ø  Good wear resistance and excellent dimensional stability

Ø  Better resistance to acids than nylon 6 or acetal POM C
