Description of Delrin Delrin POM-H rod


Delrin (Polyoxymethylene) rod is commonly known as Delrin POM– H rod or by the brand name “Delrin”. Delrin POM-H rod offers better mechanical properties than POM-C in several areas. Its higher crystallinity makes it stronger, harder and more rigid than POM-C but maintains nearly identical machinability. Acetal POM-H sheet also offers good electrical insulating properties and slightly better chemical resistance than POM-C.


It is a high-performance acetal resin with a variety of desired physical and mechanical qualities. This highly crystalline designed thermoplastic is well-known for its dimensional stability, stiffness, and durability. Delrin POM-H rod is suited for high-load and high-impact applications such gears, conveyor belts, bearings, rollers, and safety restraints because of these properties. Pumps, valves, and actuators that are used in damp or moist settings benefit from the low moisture absorption and tribological qualities of the material.
